Other benefits for now are lower transaction costs and increase in speed of a transaction confirmation.
As everyone holding bitcoin has now an equal amount of bitcoin cash it will be interesting to see wether people want lower transaction costs and continue to be able to use a p to p structure , or wether they want a more centralised visa type transaction layer with high transaction costs.
I am betting bitcoin cash will win this race but it will take time as those invested in bitcoin will need to move their wealth into bitcoin cash.
This ultimately will see a surge in the price of bitcoin cash.
